A former Belle Vernon and Monessen resident,Mrs. Helen Romer Redigan,of 1316 Clara Ave.,Castle Shannon,died suddenly on Friday morning,August 9,1968 in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mrs. Redigan,who was born in Monessen,is a graduate of Monessen High School and attended Ohio University at Kent,Ohio and California State College. Born Oct. 8,1908,she lived in Belle Vernon for many years prior to moving to Castle Shannon. Surviving are her husband,Joseph;four daughters,Mrs. Sam (Rose Marie) Martin,Turtle Creek;Mrs. Arthur (Rose Ann) Sommers,Unity;Mrs. Thomas (Eileen) Holesapple,Pittsburgh and Mrs. Ruth McCauley,at home;her mother,Mrs. Albert Romer,Belle Vernon;and one sister,Mrs. William (Ruth) Steen, Belle Vernon. Twelve grandchildren also survive.Friends are being received at the E.B,. Laughlin Funeral Home,Castle Shannon Blvd.,Castle Shannon. Services will be held Monday morning in St. Ann's R.C. Church,Castle Shannon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
