Helen Rockidge,74,of R.D.2,Charleroi,died at her home Wednesday,July 5,1961 at 7 p.m. after a brief illness. Born in Yugoslavia,May 23,1887,she came to Charleroi in 1922,after a short stay in Fayette City. She is a member of St. Jerome's R.C.Church,Charleroi. Surviving are four sons,John at home,Steve of Cleveland,Ohio,Thomas and George,both of Charleroi; six daughters,Mrs. William (Ann) Simmons of R.D.3,Belle Vernon,Mrs. Charles (Catherine) Hagar of Bentleyville,Helen Rockidge of Corapolis,Mrs. Harry (Mary) Tharp of Cleveland,Mrs. George (Barbara) Pulaski of Fifth St. Ext.,Charleroi and Elizabeth at home;eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends are being received at Michael A. Melinchak Funeral Home from 1 to 5 p.m. nd 7 to 10 p.m. Requiem High Mass will be sung in St. Jerome's R.C.Church,Charleroi,July 8 at 9 a.m. with the Rev. James F. McKeever in charge. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Michael A. Melinchak,funeral director.
