Helen R. Nusser,85,of Rostraver Township,died Sunday,March 4,2001,in Monongahela Valley Hospital,Carroll Township. She was born in Berea, Ohio on Oct. 15,1915.the daughter of the late John and Mary (Guman) Laska. A homemaker,Helen was a 1933 graduate of Monessen High School. She was a member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church of Rostraver Township. She is survived by a son, Joseph William Nusser,of Rostraver Township; a daughter,Elaine Phillips of Rostraver Township;two grandsons, David Phillips and his wife Jodi and Thomas Phillips and his wife Lenora;and two great-grandsons,Colin and Deven Phillips. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband,Joseph Nusser,on Aug. 6,1994; an infant daughter,Janet Nusser;and a brother,Albert Laska. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME,INC.,580 Circle Drive,Sweeney Plan/Rostraver Township. Services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Klein,pastor of Rehoboth Church,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
