Obituary

Helen Yetsconish Onufer,79,of Belle Vernon,formerly of Fayette City,died Sunday,Nov. 28,1999,at 9:10 a.m. in the Canonsburg Hospital. She was born Oct. 13,1920,in Fayette City, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Schowlaw Yetsconish. Mrs. Onufer was a lifelong resident ofFayette City and was Protestant by faith.  She retired from Westinghouse Electric Corp.as an assembler.  Survivors iclude a daughter, Stephanie Onufer of the state of California; two brothers, John J. Yetsconish of Lynnwood and Paul Yetsconish of Connellsville; three sisters, Olga Grazzini of Fayette City,Ann Adametz of Sunnyvale,Calif.and Mrs. Ronald (Sophie) Seals of New Jersey; two sisters-in-law, Ann Yetsconish and Helen Yetsconish,both of Fayette City, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,Steve Onufer on April 19,1955;and three brothers, John, Charles and Michael Yetsconish, and a sister, Mary Melissas. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,family owned and operated,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 11 a.m.,with Elder William Mines of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Fayette City,officiating.  Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
