Helen Thompson Zeli; 66; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Saturday; May 3; 2014; at her home. Born Oct. 16; 1947; in Brownsville; she was the daughter of the late George E. Thompson and her mother; Maxine Dale Thompson; who survives and resides in Grindstone. Mrs. Zeli was a member of First Presbyterian Church; Belle Vernon and was retired as an elementary school teacher from the Belle Vernon Area School District. She is survived by her husband; Vincent Zeli; to whom she was married 45 years; two sons and daughters-in-law; Lance and Amie Zeli of Canonsburg and Sam and Melissa Zeli of Youngwood; five grandchildren; Katie Zeli; Lance C. Zeli; Jaxon Zeli; Luke Zeli and Ethan Zeli; a brother and sister-in-law; George E. Spanky and wife; Lorrain; Thompson Jr. of Waldorf; Md.; sister and brother-in-law; Renee and Blaine Sphar of Grindstone; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; 724-929-6183. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home; with the Rev. Suzanne Z. Currie; pastor of First Presbyterian Church; officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The North Belle Vernon Fire Department will conduct services at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and the officers and members of First Presbyterian Church will hold services at 7 p.m. Tuesday; both in the funeral home.
