Helen M.Hughes of 1013 Henry St.;Belle Vernon;died Friday;Nov.23;1979;at 12:40 a.m.in Monongahela Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp.  She was 55.  Mrs.Hughes was born May 18;1924;in Pricedale;a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Drotos.  She had been a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon Area.  A member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Hughes also was a member of the Vernon Belles.  She was preceded in death by her husband;William C.Hughes;on Oct.1;1977.  She is survived by one daughter;Suzan M.Hughes of Greensburg;and three brothers;Steve Drotos of Belle Vernon;John Drotos of Cleveland;Ohio;and Andrew Drotos of Madison;Wis.  Friends will be received after 7 p.m.Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Sunday at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon.  Services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 9:30 a.m.;followed at 10 a.m.by Mass of Christian Burial in St.Sebastian Church.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
