Helen Luzanski Gilmore; 91; of North Belle Vernon; died Saturday; May 6; 2006; in Jefferson Regional Health System; Jefferson Borough. Born June 11; 1914; in Arnold City; she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Kopcho Luzanski. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon; Mrs. Gilmore was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon and a homemaker. She was an avid basketball; football and baseball fan who enjoyed watching the Steelers and Pirates. The last surviving member of her immediate family; she is survived by her daughter; Anne Marie Gilmore; of North Belle Vernon; with whom she made her home; her son; John Gilmore; of Rostraver Township; and one granddaughter; Allyson Marie Gilmore; with whom she shared a special; loving relationship. Being Grandma was her greatest pleasure in life. She was preceded in death by her husband; Eugene P. Gilmore; on June 23; 2003; four brothers; George; John; Andrew and Michael Luzanski; and three sisters; Anna Sarnowski; Sue Janosik and Mary Luzanski. Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). Services will be held Tuesday; May 9; in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Helen Gilmore on Monday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Helen Gilmore to the North Belle Vernon Parks and Recreation Board.
