Obituary

Helen Holet Krivda, 90, of Fairhope, Belle Vernon, died Friday, May 14, 2010, in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc., Carroll Township. She was born April 30, 1920, in Pricedale, daughter of the late John Holet and the late Mary Wosniak Holet. Helen was a homemaker and a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Fayette City, and also a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon. She is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Newman and husband, Ty, of Belle Vernon, two sons, Alan Krivda and wife, Leona, of Rostraver Township, and Kenneth Krivda, of Monessen, five grandchildren, Craig and Chris Newman, Marcie Kubina Gluz, Kevin Kubina and Laura Krivda, five great-grandchildren, Sara Newman, Travis Yex, Courtney Gluz, Jensen Kubina and Courtney Yocabet, two sisters, Evelyn Krivda and Ann Fazio, and brother, Charles Holet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Krivda, in 1997, and three brothers, Mike, Andy, and Pete Holet. Friends will be received Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME, INC. 334 Main St., Fayette City, (724-326-5621),www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Prayer services will be held Tuesday, May 18, at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Lawrence Manchas as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Helen Krivda Monday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home
