Helen C. (Fekula) Kerekes; 88; of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township); died Thursday; Dec. 4; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born April 6; 1920; in North Charleroi; she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Gezza) Fekula. A resident of Rostraver Township; Mrs. Kerekes was Russian Orthodox by faith and a homemaker. She is survived by a sister; Martha Natola; of Belle Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Julius J. Kerekes; a son; Julius M. ‘Mick’ Kerekes; on June 16; 2008; two brothers; Peter Dutka and Ike Fekula; and two sisters; Ann Cullen and Olga Fedora. Visitation will be held Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). Services will be held Monday; Dec. 8; in the funeral home at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dennis Vitali of St. Basil the Great Russian Orthodox Church officiating.
