Mrs.Gerwell was born June 12;1912;in Arnold City;a daughter of the late Mike and Katie Kmisce Savicki. She was a member of Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church;Charleroi;and Court Charleroi;Catholic Daughters of America. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister;Nellie Hughes. Survivors include her husband;Stanley J.Gerwell;a daughter;Jacqueline Tylus of Cokeburg;three grandchildren;Ron Ronick;Thomas Tylus and Zigmunt Tylus Jr.;two great-grandchildren;Benjamin and Brian Ronick;and one sister;Violet Holodnik of Cleveland;Ohio. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home;819 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;where a Blessing service will be held Monday;Feb.8;at 9:30 a.m.;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church;Charleroi;with the Rev.Andrew Bialobok;pastor;as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rosary will be recited Sunday at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
