Mrs.Helen Bednar Bolchak;58;of Gillespie;Fayette City R.D.1;died Tuesday;May 17;1977 at 4:45 a.m.in Charleroi Divivion of Mon Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born Aug.14;1918 in Washington Twp.;a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Matvej Bednar Sr. Mrs.Bolchak was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Jednota Lodge 279;both of Fayette City. Surviving are her widower;Joseph P.Bolchak;three daughters;Mrs.John F.(Arlene) Zdilla of Colorado Springs;Colo.;Mrs.Roger (Magdelyn) Muzina of Perryopolis and Martha Jo Bolchak at home;two brothers;Joseph (Shakey) Bednar and George (Fudge) Bednar;both of Fayette City R.D.1;three sisters;Mrs.Joseph (Anna) Poprocky of Uniontown;Mrs.Kathryn B.Vesely of Fayette City R.D.1 and Mrs.John (Margaret) Buckley of Bethesda;Md.;and three grandsons. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Main St.;Fayette City;after 7 p.m.Wednesday. Prayer services will be held Friday;May 20;1977 at 11:30 a.m.at the funeral home;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fayette City. Fr.Thomas G.Rinn;celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A wake service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m.at the funeral home.
