Mrs. Helen Backo,aged 65 years, 138 Kellie avenue, Belle Vernon,died suddenly on Thursday,Aug. 26.1954 at 4 p.m. Surviving are her husband, Rocco Backo; four daughters, Mrs. Eva Smithnick of Belle Vernon,Mrs. Mary Reeder of Pricedale,Mrs. Anna Ray of Charleroi,R.D. and Mrs. Helen Konick,in the state of Massachusetts; four sons, Charles of Charleroi,Michael of Belle Vernon,Stephen and Metro,both of Pricedale and nine grandchildren. Friends will be received at the late home until Monday,Aug. 30,when the remains will be taken to the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, Charleroi. Funeral services will be held there at 9:30 a.m. in charge of Rev. Gregory Soroka. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner,Belle Vernon,funeral director.
