Mrs.Helen B.Shorter;53;of McKinley Ave.;Lockview died April 5;1967 at 1:45 a.m. in South Side Hospital;Pittsburgh;after a brief illness. Mrs.Shorter had lived in Monessen 30 years;having been born in Brownsville on Nov.24;1913. She is survived by her husband;Thomas;two step-children;Mrs.Betty Patterson of Arnold City and Thomas Shorter Jr.in the U.S.Navy at San Diego;Calif;eight grandchildren. Three sisters and two brothers also survive. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today at the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home in Monessen.
