Hazel M.Nichol of 424 Graham St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;April 18;1988;at 1:10 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. She was 57. Born Jan.27;1931;in Dickerson Run;she was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Edith Shipley. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. She had lived in Belle Vernon since 1956;having moved into the borough from Charleroi;and was employed as a custodian in the Marion Elementary School in the Belle Vernon Area School District for the past 14 years.She was a member of Teamsters Local Union 872. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sister;Margaret Kruppa. Surviving are her husband;Stephen S.Nichol Jr.;three sons;Stephen R.Nichol of Durham;N.C.;Jeffrey S.Nichol of Raleigh;N.C.;and Mark A.Nichol of Bowie;Md.;two daughters;Mrs.Robert (Donna) Corey of Lexington;Ky.and Mrs.Charles (Barbara) Dusick Jr.of Bowie;Md.;two brothers;Jack Shipley of Washington;Pa.and Donald Shipley of Roscoe;three sisters;Geraldine Boscan of Roscoe;Gertrude Gregg of Coal Center and Ruth Zapach of Star Junction;four grandchildren;Brandy and Krystal Nichol and Thomas and Erik Corey;and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.in the funeral home;with the Rev.Charles LaPlaca of the First Presbyterian Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
