Harry M.Nutting;71;of North Charleroi;died Monday;Oct.9;1989;at 4:45 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Nov.15;1917;in Charleroi;a son of the late Mathias and Sarah Huber Nutting. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II;having served with the Third Armour Division. He was a member of St.Jerome Roman Catholic Church in Charleroi. He was a member and past commander of VFW Post 167 in Charleroi;and was a member of American Legion Post 22;the Elks Lodge 494;the Charleroi Sportsman’s Club;the Corning Retirees Association and the Slovak Club of North Charleroi. He was a retired worker of the Corning Glass;Charleroi plant. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his first wife;Simone;one brother Joseph Nutting and one sister;Shirley Karlosky. Survivors include his wife;Bernice Norkus Weibl Nutting;two step-daughters;Mrs.Norman (Katherine) Koch of Forest Hills and Mrs.Edward (Joan) Caban of Las Vegas;Nev.and four step-grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Carl J;Spallino Funeral Home;819 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m.in St.Jerome Roman Catholic Church;Charleroi;with Fr.John Marcucci;pastor;as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A VFW service will be held Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.in the funeral home and an American Legion service will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m.in the funeral home. The Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
