Harry I. Davis, 400 Fifth St., Charleroi, died suddenlyThursday,,Dec.28,1978 at 10:20 p.m. at his home. He was 69. Born March 20, 1909, in Sunnyside, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Hobaugh Davis. Mr. Davis was a retired employee of the former American Steel and Wire Co. Donora plant. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon, the F & AM Lodge No. 643 of Belle Vernon, and the IOOF Lodge 1030 of Charleroi. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Dolores Jean Bashada on April 16,1978. Mr. Davis is survived by his widow, Lillian Axton Davis, and three grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home, 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m.at the funeral home,with the Rev.Francis M.Blair,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
