Services will be held Tuesday for Harry Hackenson Jr.;66;of 112 Wood St.;Belle Vernon;who died Friday night at 9 p.m.at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh after a short illness. Mr.Hackenson was born Jan.1;1913;at Frank;Pa.;a son of the late Harry and Elvina Whiteman Hackenson Sr. A lifetime resident of Belle Vernon;he had been employed at the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp;coke plant;retiring in 1975 as a turn foreman. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon and Belle Vernon Masonic Lodge 643 of which he was a past master. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Ann Konecheck Hackenson;a son;Thomas Hackenson;a daughter;Ruth Ann;three sisters;Mrs.Harry (Thelma) Schmidt of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Mary Momyer of Parma;Ohio;and Miss Violet Hackenson of Morgantown;W.Va.;three brothers;Lee Hackenson and Elmer Hackenson of Belle Vernon and Jack Hackenson of Marietta;Ohio;and four grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;with Dr.Elmer C.Lewis of Fayette City officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Services by Masonic Lodge 643 will be held tonight at 7:30 at the funeral home. The family requests material tributes may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
