Obituary

Harry H.Kondratic,75,of 1110 Monongahela St.,Belle Vernon,died Friday,Dec.29,1995,at 12:45 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township. Mr.Kondratic was born Nov.18,1920,in North Charleroi,a son of the late Thomas and Maria Mezza Kondratic. He was a retired glass operator at Corning Glass Works in Charleroi. Mr.Kondratic was a World War II veteran of the U.S.Army Air Corps,who served as a company clerk in Italy,Africa and Switzerland. He was a 1939 graduate of Charleroi High School. Mr.Kondratik was a lifelong resident of the Mon Valley and an Orthodox by faith. An avid card player,he was a former officer of the Slavic Citizens Club in Lock Four. In addition to his parents,he was also preceded in death by his wife,Helen Moran Kondratic,on May 8,1994,to whom he had been married for 40 years. Surviving are two daughters,Mrs.David (Janice Lee) Kondratic Yeaney of Albion and Mrs.William (Debra Ann) Harris of Newark,Del.,three grandchildren,Chad David Yeaney,Michael William Harris and Catherine Emily Harris,one brother,John Kondratic of North Charleroi,and two sisters,Helen Kondratic of Charleroi and Mrs.Albert (Olga) Hollick of Roscoe. Mr.Kondratic was also preceded in death by an infant son,Harry H.Kondratic Jr.,three brothers,George,Mike and Martin Kondratic,seven sisters,Elizabeth Balkus,Rose Kondratic,Esther Simko,Ella Porubsky,Stella Reinhold,Anna Dudro and Mary Padony,and two siblings in infancy. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev.John Kluchko,pastor,Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
