Harry G.Popp of 120 Marion Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;Dec.30;1984;at 9:30 a.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital. He was 77. Mr.Popp was born April 4;1907;in Belle Vernon;a son of the late George and Elizabeth Dudgeon Popp. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by three brothers;George;Watson and Allen;and three sisters;Jessie;Alice and Edna. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon;Mr.Popp celebrated 51 years of marriage last February. In 1972 he retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.where he had been employed by the Monessen Southwestern Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Survivors include his wife;Blanche Barnes Popp;a son;Harry Popp Jr.of Elizabeth Township;and two grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Wednesday;Jan.2 at 1 p.m. with the Rev.Mary Howard;pastor Marion Presbyterian Church;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of arrangements.
