Harry Billger of the Belle
Vernon Apartments died Friday;January 13;1978 at 11:05 p.m. in
Charleroi Division of Mon
Valley Hospital. He was 72.
Mr. Billger was born in
McKeesport on Nov. 1; 1905; a
son of the late William and
Ella Billger.
He had lived in the Belle
Vernon area since 1920 and
formerly owned and operated
Billger’s Men’s Store in North
Belle Vernon.
Mr. Billger also worked for
Model Dry Cleaning Company
in Charleroi for 25 years
before retiring in 1965 due to ill
health.
He is survived by his widow;
Opal Horrell Billger; and five
nieces and nephews; Mrs.
Leroy (Doris) Columbus of
New Castle; Mrs. Eleanor
Pienkoski of Corning; N.Y.;
Mrs. Lorelei Horrell of
Fayette City R. D. 1; William
R. Horrell of Belle Vernon and
Roy I. Horrell of Belle Vernon.
Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to
9 p.m. in the Shelby D.
Ferguson Funeral Home; 700
Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. Services will be held at the funeral home Monday at 1 p.m.;with the Rev. Allie A.Clayton;pastor of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director;in charge of arrangements.
