Harry A. Gregory, 92, of Belle Vernon, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Mon Valley Care Center. A son of the late Charles and Patricia Constantine Gregory, he was born in Connellsville on December 3, 1923. Harry was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen and the Belle Vernon American Legion, Post 659. Harry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II and retired in 1982 from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company. He loved traveling and dancing with his late wife, playing bocce and sports. He especially loved baseball and boxing. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert A. and Jeanine Gregory and Richard Gregory, all of Belle Vernon, three grandchildren, Ian Gregory and his wife, Stephanie of Ruffsdale, Lauren Gregory of Bridgeville, and Addison Gregory, and two great-granddaughters, Paige and Peyton Gregory. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Helen Tadavich Gregory. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. A funeral service will be in the funeral home at 10 A.M. Tuesday with Father Stephen Wahal officiating. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The members of the Belle Vernon American Legion will meet in the funeral home to hold services at 7 P.M. Monday.
