Obituary

Harrison B.Maund of 211 Hawthorne St.Canonsburg,formerly of Charleroi,died Thursday,March 27,1986,at 3:15 a.m.in Canonsburg General Hospital. He was 76. Mr.Maund was born Jan.11,1910,in Charleroi,a son of the late James and Rosetta Watts Maund. Prior to his retirement on July 23,1976,he was employed by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board as manager at the Canonsburg State Liquor Store. He was a member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church. Mr.Maud was a member and past president of the Greater Canonsburg Lions Club. He was also a member of American Legion Post 22,Charleroi,the Charleroi Elks Lodge and the Pennsylvania Association of Retired Employees. Mr.Maund had been a Republican Committee-person. He was a veteran of World War II,having served in the Seventh Armored Division of the U.S.Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife,Alice Lynn Maund,Jan.10,1966,and by a brother,Edward Maund. Survivors include a son,James Maund of Canonsburg,two brothers,Wilbur Maund of Charleroi and Roland Maund of California,Pa.,and one sister,Helen Foor of Canyon,Texas. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Louis N.Sollon Funeral Home,Ltd.,30 E.College St.,Canonsburg where services will be held Saturday,March 29,at 11 a.m.with the Rev.G.Sherman Ott,pastor of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Louis N.Sollon Funeral Home,Ltd.,is in charge of arrangements.
