Obituary

Harrietta McCraw Bailey,27,former resident of Monessen,died suddenly,Thursday,Jan.10,1963,at her late home in Los Angeles,Calif. She was born in Monessen on June 6,1935 and was a graduate of Monessen High School,Class of 1953,and of California State College,class of 1957. Mrs.Bailey taught two years in the Washington School of Monessen and was employed in the Los Angeles school system until the time of her death. She had been an active member of the South Los Angeles Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband,Theodore,one daughter,Sharon Elaine at home,her parents,Mr.and Mrs.Harry K.McCraw of Monessen,two sisters,Mrs.Alphonse (Caroline) Carter of Pittsburgh,and Mrs.Dale (Marilyn) Simpson of Monessen,her paternal grandmother,Mrs.Elmira Lacy of Monessen,and her maternal grandfather,Ben Draper of Monessen. Upon arrival of the body from California,friends will be received at the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home in Monessen. Friends will be recieved at the Beverly Draper Funeral home,Monessen,after 7 p.m.,Jan.12. Funeral services will be held Monday,Jan.14,at 11 a.m.from Union Baptist Church,Monessen. Rev.D.D.Chatman will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C.Draper,funeral director.
