Obituary

Harold S.Robins,95,of Kane Regional Center, McKeesport,
formerly of Belle Vernon, died
Friday, Nov. 29, 1991, at 1 a.m.
in McKeesport Hospital.
He was born April 22, 1896, in
Adrian, Mich., a son of the late
Walter and Lisbeth Seelye
Robins.
Mr. Robins was a member of
the First United Methodist
Church of Belle Vernon, where
he was a member and officer of
the church choir for many
years. He had served on the
Board of Trustees of the church
for 15 years.
Active in amateur radio
circles in the Mid Mon Valley,
Mr. Robins was a past officer of
the Monessen Radio Club and
had served as the local
representative of the Military
Affiliate Radio System until
1974.
Mr. Robins, who had been a
resident of Kane Regional
Center since June of this year,
had resided with his daughter in
Elizabeth Township the past five
years.
He retired in 1966 from the
steam and combustion department of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh
Steel Corporation's Monessen
plant.
He was a veteran of World War I, having served with the
317th Infantry Regimental
Band.
In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his
wife, Lucille Morrell Robins,
who died in 1979, and by a sister,
Frances, in 1950.
Survivors include one
daughter, Mrs. William R.
(Elaine) Boyles of Elizabeth
Township, one sister, Katherine
Huscroft of Greensburg, two
grandchildren, Dr. William L.
and Robert K. Benedetti, both of
Elizabeth Township, and six
great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in
the Ferguson Funeral Home
Inc., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,where services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Dr.Thomas St.Clair,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon or the charity of one's choice. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
