Obituary

Harold R. Ream,94,formerly of Roscoe and currently of Grosse Pointe Woods,Mich.,died Sunday,Feb.15,1998 in Michigan. He was born Dec. 11,1903,in Charleroi,a son of the late Ellsworth and Eva John's Lamay Ream. Protestant by faith,he was a member of the Belle Vernon Masonic Lodge 643 F&AM,the McKean Commandry 80,Monongahela,the Gourgas Lodge of Perfection,Uniontown,and the Lodge of Consistory Scottich Rite,Pittsburgh.  He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel,Allenport Plant,where he had been employed for many years as a foreman. Survivors include his wife,Mildred Lynda Parkins Ream;two sons, Harold Ellsworth Ream of New Jersey and Robert Harry Ream of Grosse Point,Mich.;one daughter, Lynda Kay Wilhelm of Grosse Point,Mich.;four grandchildren,Robert and Karl Ream, Gretchen Boldt and Elizabeth Noble,and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by one brother,Henry Ream,and one sister,Mable Beatty.Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Homes Inc.,1008 Furlong Ave.,Roscoe,and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.in the Roscoe United Methodist Church,when funeral services will be held in the church with the Rev. Linda Taylor,pastor,officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  A masonic service will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home.  The Ed Melenyzer Funeral Homes Inc.,is in charge of the arrangements.
