Harold J.Evans;75;of 11 Woodcrest Ave.;Monessen;died Friday;Aug.10;1990;in Mon Valley Hospital;Inc.;Carroll Township. Born Aug.23;1914;in Pittsburgh;he was the son of the late Charles and Julia Parsons Evans. Prior to his retirement;Mr.Evans was employed at the Page Division of American Chain and Cable Co.;Monessen;where he was a wire drawer. He was a member of St.Paul Lutheran Church;Monessen. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by two brothers;Charles and Philip. Surviving are his wife;Marjory Feightner Evans;one daughter;Marjory;one son;Robert H.Evans;one granddaughter;Laurie Barger;three brothers;Albert Evans of Coal Center;Howard Evans of Monessen and Frank Evans of New Eagle;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen. Services will be held in the chapel of Belle Vernon Cemetery at 1 p.m.;after which interment will follow. Arrangements are being handled by the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.
