Obituary

Harold B. (Lit) Lambert of 408 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,May 26,1985,at 12:40 A.M.in Havencrest Crest Convalescent Home. He was 74. Born in North Belle Vernon on,Nov.5,1910,he was a son of the late Charles and Sarah Breakwell Lambert. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Charleroi,F&,AM Beaver Valley Lodge No.753,Mon Valley Caravan No.17 Shrine of Pittsburgh and  the Scottish Rite Valley of  Dayton,Ohio. Mr.Lambert was a Civilian Industrial Specialist with the U.S.Air Force,which he retired from in 1965 after 25 years of service. He then owned his own Consulting firm from 1965 to 1975. He was preceded in death by three brothers,Gordon,Chester and William Lambert. Surviving are his wife,Edna Githens Lambert, three sons,Charles W .Lambert of Lancaster,Harold G.of New Freedom,and James A.of Littitz,three daughters,Mrs.Elma Winship of  Buckner,Mo.,Mrs. Anthony (Patricia) DiGioia of Monessen,Mrs.Karen Cook of Columbus,Ohio,one brother,Edwin Lambert of Belle Vernon two sisters,Mrs.Jessie Flanigan  of Aliquippa and Mrs.David (Mary Jane) Scholl of Belle Vernon,13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev.Charles LaPlaca,pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Masonic services will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. by F&,AM Lodge 643 at the funeral home. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
