Obituary

Harlon M.(Bud)Hawley,42,of 509 S.14th St.,Monessen,died Monday Feb.14,1983,in West Penn Hospital,Pittsburgh, following surgery. He was born Feb.19,1940 in West Franklin,Armstrong County,a son of Wilma Claypoole Hawley of Worthington,Pa.and the late Thomas J.Hawley.  He was a member of Franklin Union Baptist Church of Worthington. His Hobbies were hunting,camping,talking on the CB radio,and breeding Irish Setter dogs.  ,He was a truck driver. He was well loved by all who knew him. A U.S.Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict,he served in the Seabee's in the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a member of Lodge 244 F&,AM.  ,In addition to his mother,survivors include his widow,Carol Kline Hawley,two daughters,Mrs.Timothy (Teresa) Klingensmith,grandson,Brent Klingensmith,Carol M.Miller and grandchildren,Stacey and Douglas Miller,one great-granddaughter,two brothers,Thomas Hawley and Homer Hawley,two sisters,Wilma Barnhart and Barbara Claypoole,and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his father,he was preceded in death by a brother,John Hawley. There will be no public visitation.  Private funeral services will be held on Wednesday,Feb.16,at 1:30 p.m.in the Rhome Funeral Home,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,with the Rev.Earl Layman,pastor of First Baptist Church of Monessen,officiating.,Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
