Obituary

Gustave L. (Gus) Moreau, 69, of 137 Greenwood Ave., Belle Vernon, formerly of Monessen, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 1990, in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township, following a lingering illness. Mr Moreau was born Jan. 16, 1920, in Monessen, a son of the late Louis and Louise Massey Moreau. He was employed at the Southwest Steel Company, Los Angeles, Calif., prior to his retirement. Mr. Moreau was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, American Legion Post No. 659, Belle Vernon, and the BPO Elks Lodge No. 773, Monessen. Surviving are his wife, Anne Grzesiuk Sepesky Moreau, a daughter, Mrs. Bob (Bernadette) Smith, of Newalla, Okla., two granddaughters, Bridget Smith of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs. Daniel (Bobette) Stanton, a great-granddaughter, Kristen Stanton, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Franklin L. (Alice) Bialon, of Belle Vernon R.D.3, three step-grandsons, Aaron, Jason and Frankie Bialon, a stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Joseph and Marilyn Sepesky, Jr , of Fellsburg, two step-grandsons, Daniel and Douglas Sepesky, and two step-granddaughters, Sandra Sepesky and Mrs. Deborah Chorba, a brother, Eugene Moreau, of Monessen, a sister, Mrs. Augustine Behrendt, of Sterling, Ill., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rhome Funeral Home, Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen. A Prayer Service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
