Gloria M. Donald, age 77, a long-time resident of Johnstown, PA, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. She was surrounded and comforted by family and friends. Gloria was born on March 15, 1939 in Monessen, PA to the late Louis and Marion (Smith) Simpson. She was united in marriage to Hershel B. Donald on February 7, 1957. He preceded her in death on September 1, 2007. They were married for 50 wonderful years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Willetta Coleman. She is survived by her brother, Nelson Simpson; daughters Toni Williams (m. Perry Williams), Jacqueline Webb, and Herschelle Donald; sons-in-law Ronald Coleman and Theodore Hardison; her grandchildren Nichelle McLamb (m. Braden McLamb), Takia Donald (George Williams), Alisa Donald (m. Josh Garcia), Racquelle Coleman, Ronald Coleman (Trisha Burkett), Blake Donald, Rashaun Harris (m. Dana Harris), Stefon (Bama) Harris, Leyawnie Donald, and Messiah Dykes. She also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends. Gloria devoted her life to raising and caring for her family and was truly an accomplished “domestic engineer” as she described. She loved to cook and was a very organized person. She kept a tidy home and was the rock of her family, who meant the world to her. Friends will be received Thursday from noon until the time of service at 1:00 pm at Works of Deliverance Fellowship International Ministries, Apostle Arthur C. Hardison, III.
