Obituary

Gloria Jean Love Thompson, 52, of Donora, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born June 18, 1952, in North Charleroi, a daughter of Alberta Jean Love of Cleveland, Ohio, and the late Wallace B. Love. She worked as a teacher's aide at Western State Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Donora, its adult choir and assisted with the youth program. She is survived by her husband, Tommy S. Thompson of Donora, three daughters, Jennifer G. Love and Fallon M. Thompson of Donora and Melissa Thompson of Los Angeles, Calif., brothers and sisters, Robert D. Love and wife LaVerne of Belle Vernon, Edwin J. and Larry R. Love and Brenda J. Kenney, all of Donora, Mark R. Parrish and wife Mona, Michael Walker and wife Denise of Cleveland, Ohio, the Rev. Dennis Bishop, Norman Bishop, Darrell Love, Adam Love, Marie Green and husband Curtis, and Beverly Bishop, all of Winston-Salem, N.C., Wallace Love and wife Katrina of Bowie, Md., Tyrone Love and wife Tonya, and Viola Colbert and husband David, all of Charlotte, N.C., Brenda J. Kenney of Donora, Renee Barnes and husband Dwayne, Danita and Kim Love, all of Cleveland, Ohio, Robert Thomas of Danville, Va., and Jason A. Thompson and wife Jennifer of Forest Hills, five grandchildren, one aunt, Ethel Love of Donora, and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Donora. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Dennis Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the PERCY E. LAW JR. FUNERAL HOMES, Wilkinsburg.
