Glenna M. Richwine,85,formerly of Blind Lane,Belle Vernon,died Monday,Feb. 8,1999,in Greensburg Nursing and Convalescent Center. Born Jan. 5,1914,in North Belle Vernon,she was a daughter of the late James L. and Adda Gibson Sterner. Mrs. Richwind was a member of First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon and Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 Auxiliary. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area,she was a former member of the Monessen AARP. In addition to her parents,whe was preceded in death by her husband,Jack E. Richwine,on Dec. 3,1987,two brothers, Donald Sterner and Mervin Sterner,and one sister,Alverda Helmken. Survivors include one step-daughter, Diane Richwine Swanson of Berkley, Calif.,four brothers,Alvin Sterner of Belle Vernon,Lewis Sterner of Okmulgee, Okla.,and Roy Sterner and William Sterner, both of Belle Vernon and one sister, Joan L. Peters of Belle Vernon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the First Baptist Church,Short Street, Belle Vernon,with the Rev. Frank Sgromolo,pastor,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
