Obituary

Glenn McKee of 214 Edith St.,Belle Vernon (Fairhope),died Thursday,Dec.22,1988,at 11:35 p.m.in Montefiore Hospital,Pittsburgh, He was 75. Mr.McKee was born Jan.18,1913,in Willock,a son of the late William and Violet Hill McKee. A member of the Fayette City United Methodist Church,he had been a Fairhope resident the past five years. Mr.McKee,a member of the United Mine Workers of America,retired in 1972 as a coalwasher at Banning No.1 mine. Survivors include his wife,Mary Kostelac McKee,five daughters,Barbara Povrzanich and Mrs.James (Arlene) Booley,both of Belle Vernon,Mrs.John (Glenda) Sargeant of Birmingham,Ala.,Mrs.John (Debbie) Kissell of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Joseph (Mary Jo) Buerlen of Hudson,Ohio,one brother,William McKee Jr.of McDonald,two sisters,Jane Anderson of Finleyville and Nancy Murphy of Midway,10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Monday,Dec.26,at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Jack Elder,pastor of the Fayette City United Methodist Church,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
