He was born Sept.12;1930;in Monessen;a son of Albert Evans of Belle Vernon;and the late Leona Shepler Evans. Mr.Evans was employed at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monessen. Surviving;in addition to his faher;are his widow;Gloria Phillippi Evans;three sons;Duane;Scott and Glynn;all at home;one daughter;Lori at home;two brothers;Charles of Belle Vernon;and Richard of West Newton;and two sisters;Mrs.Noramn (Dolores) Celaschi of Speers;and Mrs.Keith (Donna) Hite of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.on Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.on Sunday at the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Home;262 Donner Ave.;Monessen;where services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Larry Ross;pastor of the First Baptist Church;Monessen;officiating.
