Glen S. Anderson,79,of 809 Crest Drive, Monessen,died Sunday, Aug. 28,1977 at 11:10 p.m. in Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was born oct. 5,1897 in Roscoe, a son of the late Samuel and Daisy Harrison Anderson. Mr. Anderson retired in 1958 from the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Company,where he was foreman of the pipe shop. He was also a member of St. John's Episcopal Church of Donora. Surviving are his widow, Rebecca White Anderson, a daughter, Mrs. James (Gladys) Balog of Scottsdale, Ariz., a sister,Mrs. Sara Grove of Arlington,Va. and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Home,262 Donner Ave., Monessen,Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday,Aug. 31,1977 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home,the Rev. Keith L. Ackerman,pastor of St. Mary's Episcopal Church of Charleroi,officiating. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ed Melenyzer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
