Miss Gladys M. Plens,age 24 years, died at her home,20 Third street, Charleroi,Monday, October 22,1945,at 3:30 p.m.,after a lingering illness. She was born in Allenport,June 22,1921,the daughter of Joseph and Myrtle Henderson Plens. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Charleroi,coming here from Allenport twenty-three years ago. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jospeh Plens,two sisters, Mrs. Minney Powell of Dawson and Mrs. Anna Belle Peck of Charleroi. Friends will be received at the Francis C. Slezak Funeral Home. Services will be held there Thursday,October 25,1945,at 2 p.m.,in charge of Rev. Ralph Bennett. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Francis C. Slezak is the funeral director.
