Gladys M. Jones of the Belle Vernon Apartments,died Thursday,March 12,1987, at 3 :49 a m in Mon Valley Hospita.l She was 82. Mrs.was born Oct.6,1904 in Belle Vernon, a daughter of the late William and Mollie Brewer Carrier
Jr. A member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon,she had been a Belle Vernon resident her entire life. In addition to her parent, she was preceded in death by her husband,James A Jones, 1960, and by a grandson, James L. Jones, 1975. Survivors include two sons, James R. Jones of Belle Vernon and W.Daniel Jones of Long Branch,one daughter, Mrs. Perry (Muriel) Sellman of Perryopolis R D 2, one sister, Bertha Kennedy of Petersburg, Ohio, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p. m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Saturday,March14,,at 3 p.m.with the Rev.Charles LaPlaca,pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
