Gertrude C. White,84, of 130 Shady Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,May 29,1991,at 4:15 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born in Vesta, Washington County,March 9,1907,a daughter of the late John W. and Clara Jack Livingston. Mrs. White was a member of the Nazarene Church of Belle Vernon. She was a graduate of Charleroi High School and had lived in Belle Vernon since 1932,after moving from Charleroi. She retired as a nursing assistant at the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital in 1973. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George H. White,in 1952. She was the last surviving member of her family,having been preceded in death by four brothers, William,John, Robert and Alfred and a sister, Alice Gillon. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George F. and Marietta White of Belle Vernon;two grandsons, Craig White of Jefferson Borough and James White of Belle Vernon;one great-granddaughter,Amanda and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Charles A. Kohr of the Nazarene Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
