Geraldine M. Chookie Moran; 80; of Belle Vernon; passed away Thursday; Jan. 20; 2011; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late William and Mary Condash Hawk; she was born in Arnold City on July 1; 1930. Chookie was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. She loved her children and grandchildren and going to the casinos. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law; Romaine Moran; of LaPlata; Md.; and Tracey and Ronald Paugh; of Elkridge; Md.; one sister; Marian Coleman; of Cape Cod; Mass.; one brother; Robert Hawk; of Cleveland; and two grandchildren; Ronald Lawrence Paugh and Kayli Nicole Paugh. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Lawrence Moran; on June 25; 2009; and one daughter; Charmaine L. Moran; in 1956.
