Geraldine A. (Smith) Walker Hughes,age 94,Brownsville,Pa.,passed away Monday,August 29,2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 3,1922 in Pittsburgh,Pa.She was preceded in death by her parents,Alice Moten and Walter Smith,Sr.;her loving husband,Aubrey Hughes Jr.;sons,Johnnie Walker II and Vernell Walker;sisters,Catherine Chick,Carmella Thomas,Erma Hunter,Gloria Robinson,and Valrice Bell. She is survived by her daughter,Maxine Valentino of California,Pa.,and daughter-in-law,Amanda Walker who cared for her many years,her siblings,Walter Smith Jr.of Pittsburgh,Pa.,Sylvern Stallworth (Faye) of Delaware,Marcella Pugh of Daisytown,Pennsylvania,Claudette Barber of Albuquerque,New Mexico,Veronica Jade of Washington,D.C.;brother-in-law,Richard Smith Sr.;10 grandchildren,15 great-grandchildren,20 great-great-grandchildren,and three great-great-great-grandchildren.
