Geraldine Miller Allen,75,of North Charleroi,died Sunday,Oct. 29,2000,at Mon Valley Hospital.She was born in Belle Vernon on Jan. 11,1925. Mrs. Allen was a lifelong resident of the Mon Valley. She was a daughter of the Monessen Elks Lodge IBPOE No. 697 and the Eastern Stars of Pittsburgh. She was Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband,William Allen in 1971;a daughter,Helen Allen Diggs in 1981;and a great-granddaughter,Natasha L. Diggs in December,1999. Survivors include six sons, Henry C. (Buster) Allen of Detroit,Mich.,Reggie and Duane of Monessen,Orville of Harrisburg,Rayford of Bellefonte and Brian of Monessen;four daughters,Wanda Henderson,with whom she made her home,Brenda,Lorie and Kayce,all of Monessen;28 grandchildren;32 great-grandchildren;and two dear friends,Selma Wade and Amanda Hewitt,both of Monessen. Friends will be received Tuesday,Oct. 31,at the Union Baptist Church,McMahon Ave.,Monessen,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the church on Wednesday,Nov.1 at 11 a.m.,with the Rev. Recardo V. Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the BEVERLY C.DRAPER FUNERAL HOME,Sixth St.,Monessen.
