Mrs. Georgia E. Smith,56,of 600 Locust St.,Monessen,died unexpectedly at her home Saturday,Oct. 8,1966 at 8:30 a.m. Born in Lincolnton,N.C.,March 2,1910,she had been in Monessen since 1942. Mrs. Smith was a member of Union Baptist Church of Monessen. Surviving are her husband, Henry;a daughter,Mrs. Jolyn Spears at home; three grandchildren;three brothers, Marvin,Rossalee and Guilford Derr,all of Hickory, N.C.and a sister,Mrs. Lois Link of Lenoir,N.C. Friends are being received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home in Monessen from 1 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m. Service Tuesday, Oct. 11,at 11 a.m. in Union Baptist Church,Monessen,with the Rev. D.D. Chatman,pastor,officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
