Obituary

George W. Haller, 89, of Vanderbilt, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 in Penn Highlands Connellsville. A son of the late George J. and Mary E. (King) Haller, he was born in Sandrock on February 28, 1935. George was a lifelong resident of Vanderbilt and was self-employed as a fire and restoration contractor. George served in the U.S. Airforce, peacetime. He is survived by his son, Scott Haller of Belle Vernon; stepsons, Eric (Barbara) Dawson of Rostraver Township, Jeff Dawson of Belle Vernon, and Bill Dawson of Monessen; and a brother Rick (Marie) Haller of Vanderbilt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna L. Haller on July 21, 2020. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. 724-929-5300. www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.
