Obituary
George (Bazz) Winn,80,of Fairhope,Belle Vernon,died Monday,April 11,1988,at 9:10 p.m. at his home,following a lengthy illness. Born April 15,1907,in Vesta,Washington County,he was a son of the late John and Alice Peters Winn. Mr. Winn was Protestant by faith. He was a life member of the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,Monessen plant. Surviving are his wife,Dorothy Poundstone Winn; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Fabian of Stockdale and Mrs. Hazel Pore of Charleroi;three grandchildren;two great-grandchildren;one brother,Harry Winn of Okmulgee,Okla.;and one sister, Mrs. Edna Krepps of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.,Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 11 a.m. Thursday in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City. Services will be held in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,with Pastor Robert Cromwell of the Fayette City United Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
