George W. Hynes of 1131 Lynn Drive, Washington Heights, Belle Vernon,died Tuesday,Feb. 15,1983 at 3 a.m. in West Penn Hospital,Pittsburgh, following a lengthy illness. He was 58. Mr. Hynes was born Dec. 6,1924,in Fayette City, a son of the late John and Mary Sisley Hynes. He was catholic by faith. Mr. Hynes was a veteran of World War II,having served with the U.S.Army. Employed as a contractor,builder and developer,he was one of the organizers of Mon Valley Home Builders and was the developer of Washington Heights. In addition to his parents,Mr. Hynes was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and John. Survivors include his widow, Lillian Koslasky Hynes; two sons, William J. of Charleroi and Robert S.at home;one daughter, Mrs. Linda Theakston of Belle Vernon and three grandchildren.Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Blessing service will be held on Friday,Feb. 18,at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W. Mccrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
