Obituary

George W. Trozzo,82,of 1 James St.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,May 1,1991,at 9:10 a.m. at Mon Valley Hospital.  He was born July 8,1908,in Belle Vernon,a son of the late Anthony and Maria Gaintorno Trozzo.  Mr. Trozzo was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon.  He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Army. He held memberships in the Belle Venron American Legion Post 659,the Belle Vernon Veterans of Foreign War Post 3557,the 4th IVOY Division,member and past president of the East Belle Vernon Athletic Association and the AARP. A former Belle Vernon area school director,he ahd retired Aug. 1,1970 as a supervisor in the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Monessen Plant.  In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Dempsey Trozzo on March 20,1991;six brothers  john, Sam,Joe, Ernest,Frank and Albert Trozzo;and two sisters, Katherine and Emma. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Prayer Service will be held on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold a service on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.  The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
