Obituary

George T.Etheridge,prominent Belle Vernon resident,died Saturday morning,May 29,1943,at 5:30 a.m.,in the Allegheny General hospital,following a short illness. He was 56 years of age. For many years he has been a contract plumber in Belle Vernon. A member of the Presbyterian Church,he served as a deacon. He was a past matron of Belle Vernon Lodge 642,F.& A.M.,affiliated with the Syria Temple,Pittsburgh,the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection,Monongahela Royal Arch Chapter 290 and the McKean Commandery Knights Templar,Charleroi. Surviving are his wife,Mrs.Flora Etheridge,a son,Thomas Etheridge of Pittsburgh,a brother,Joseph Etheridge,of Bridgeville and a sister,Mrs.Sara Dodd of Belle Vernon. Friends are bieng received at the late home,407 Fayette street,where services will be held Tuesday,June 1st,at 2:30 with Rev.Edwin G.Sloan,pastor of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner,funeral director,in charge.
