George Robert Kopko;20;of 1101 Leeds Ave.;Monessen;died Friday;April 2;1976;at 5:25 a.m. when struck by a truck along Route 857 two miles north of Fairchance. He was born Dec.13;1955;in North Charleroi;s son of George and Helen Bialon Kopko. He attended Monessen public schools;graduating from Monessen High School in 1973;and was employed by Weiss Meat Packing Co.;Inc.;of Rostraver Twp. He was also a member of St.Leonard’s Catholic Church;Monessen. He is survived by his parents;with whom he made his home;and his paternal grandparents;Mr.and Mrs.George Kopko Sr.of Monessen. Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents;the late Ben and Frances Bialon;who lived in Arnold City. Friends will be received at the Robert A.Billick Funeral home;Grand Blvd.and Marion Ave.;Monessen;today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers will be held at the funeral home Monday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Leonard’s Catholic Church;Monessen;with the Rev.Henry Dinicco the celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited Sunday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Robert A.Billick is funeral director in charge of arrangements.
