George R.Stefnik;80;of 52 Marion Villa;Arnold City;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;Jan.11;1979 at 5:30 p.m. in the Willis Nursing Home in Homestead following a lengthy illness. Born Oct.23;1898;in Vandergrift;he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna Stefnik and a long-time resident of Fayette City before moving to Arnold City. He was a retired barber by trade. He was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church of Belle Vernon. Surviving are his widow;Mrs.Mary Onufer Stefnik;one son;Ralph Stefnik of Wheeling;W.Va.;one daughter;Mrs.Edith Snead of Phoenix;Ariz.;one sister;Mrs.Mary Magaro of Vandergrift;five grandchildren;and two great-grandchildren. Friends are being received after 7 p.m. Saturday in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Main St.;Fayette City;where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev.John Kluchko of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church of Belle Vernon as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A parastas Service will take place Sunday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Howard W.McCrory is the funeral director.
