George Peresolak Jr.,76,of 215 Liberty Ave.,Rostraver Twp.,died Monday,April 14,1997,at 10:09 a.m. in Allegheny Gen. Hospital, Pgh. He was born Feb. 2,1921,in Czechoslovakia, a son of the late George and Zuzanna Kohut Pereslak,Sr. Mr. peresolak has resided in the Belle Vernon area for the past 40 years. He was a member of St. Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon.A veteran of World War II,he had served in the U.S.Army/Air Force. He was a member of the V.F.W. Monessen Post 1190; the Concerned Citizens of Rostraver Twp.;served as the treasurer of the Belle Vernon Friends of the Library and was a counselor for St. Sebastian Troop 1543,Boy Scouts. Mr. Peresolak was a former employee of American Chain and Cable Co., Page Division,Monessen,for 34 years. After the plant closed,he worked in security at the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He was also a dispatcher for Rostraver Twp. and had retired from the Pa Turnpike Commission,where he had been employed as a toll collector. Surviving are his wife, Helen Peckyno Peresolak; four sons,Michael J. of Harrisburg,George A. of Arizona,Robert G.of Harrisburg and James J. of Charleroi;two daughters, Nancy Peresolak of Belle Vernon and Susan Kroll of Belle Vernon; one brother,John Peresolak of Monessen and five grandchildren,Shawn and Michelle Hayduk,Katherine,Elizabeth and Davia Peresolak. Friends will be received in Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home,followed by Funeral Mass in St. Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon,at 1 p.m. with the Rev. E. George Saletrik,parochial vicar,as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests contributions in memory of Mr. Peresolak be made to the Belle Vernon Public Library or the Concerned Ctizens of Rostraver Twp. Friends of the veterans will pay their respects Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home and the VFW Monessen Post 1190 will hold services Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The Leonard J. Parznski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
